About the School
ULIX has been working as a private foreign language school in Rovinj since 1993. In order to conduct REPUTED and RECOGNISED high professional standards in our lessons, at ULIX we:
- Use modern foreign language teaching methods (NLP – Neuro-Lingusitic Programming, TPR – Total Physical Response, Multiple Intelligence) in addition to the principles of positive thinking
- Use the best and newest editions of textbooks from recognised publishers (Cambridge University Press, Oxford, Langenscheidt, Klett)
- Have a very rich library with over 6000 books written in foreign languages which is at the disposal of our students, as well as a rich video and audio cassette library
- Take part in many professional development seminars and conferences in Croatia and abroad annually
- Organise foreign language courses in the countries where these languages are spoken in cooperation with recognised and verified schools in Europe and the USA
- Offer more than foreign languages: we organise projects where our students use their free time in a creative manner (lectures, ecological actions, concerts, evenings of poetry and Carnival, Halloween and Valentine’s Day celebrations
- Most importantly, our friendly staff truly takes care of the needs and wishes of our students and work towards open cooperation with parents.
The excellent results that our students receive on internationally-recognised examinations and the fact that we are the ONLY foreign-language school in Istria which THE BRITISH COUNCIL singled out on its web site are the best testament to the high standard of our work.
